The MD310TS Emergency Dual Rudder Angle Telegraph System operates using a protected backup DC power source. Angular steering commands from the wheelhouse are relayed via the MD310S system to the remote station in the vessel's steering gear compartment, ensuring safe steering in case of main power failure. Each of the two steering compartments houses an MD310S Single Head Unit, while the command station in the wheelhouse contains an MD310T Twin Head Unit.
